Financial Institutions

With the onus on financial institutions to remain up to speed with their corporate governance and compliance obligations, partnering with professionals backed by transactional experience and a deep familiarity with all the applicable regulations is critical. Tadmor Levy & Co. is your partner.

Our first-class team advises domestic and international banks and financial institutions, investment houses, credit card companies and others, especially with regards to their complex and innovative transactions and regulatory matters. With a particularly strong cross-border practice, clients rely on our understanding of the local regulatory regimes governing their activities, from capital markets, securities, financial services and banking regulation to corporate governance, compliance programs and other regulatory matters.

We represent international financial institutions in complying with the regulatory demands of doing business in Israel, have represented companies before Israeli supervisory and regulatory agencies, and have also developed comprehensive internal securities compliance programs for Israel's largest banks and their subsidiaries. In addition, our team regularly advises domestic and international banks, institutional lenders and funds on complex financing transactions, including senior facilities, first ranking security, second lien, mezzanine financing and other forms of financing.

Furthermore, our team is one of the most experienced legal teams in Israel with regards to credit cards and payment solutions companies; we represent Max (formerly Leumi Card), Israel’s second largest credit card company and an issuer of Visa and MasterCard credit cards in Israel, on its corporate, capital markets and joint venture activities. We also advise on day-to-day regulatory and compliance issues and are at the forefront of regulatory developments and relevant emerging case-law. We were actively involved in the legislative process that amended the Israeli Banking (Licensing) Law, representing a leading credit card company in acquiring its licensing agreement, thus allowing the acquisition of volumes estimated at billions of US dollars. We also strive to resolve contentious matters for our financial services clients, tapping into our dynamic Litigation department to offer the most practical solutions.

Adopting a firm multidisciplinary approach, we immediately access expert opinions from our experts in banking and finance, antitrust and dispute resolution, in order to steer clients clear of regulatory pitfalls and ensure they achieve their commercial objectives.
