Opinion: Limitations of Penalties in Competition Law

Dr. David Tadmor: "From now on, corporate executives are criminals, by virtue of their not enforcing the Competition Law. This week's amendment introduces another, new offense: from now on, any officer of a corporation (not including a director) must "supervise and take every possible measure to prevent an offense under this law by the corporation or by any of its employees". Anyone found to be violating this provision faces a years' imprisonment."
