Bio

Gal Cohen is an associate within the firm’s Projects, Infrastructure and Energy Department.

During his LL.B. studies, Gal served as a member in the Hebrew University’s Israel Law Review editorial board. In addition, he served as a teaching assistant, coaching teams of students from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and the Interdisciplinary Center Herzliya for their participation in the renowned International Committee of the Red Cross International Humanitarian Law domestic and international debates.

A recipient of the prestigious Chevening Scholarship, Gal completed his LL.M. studies at University College London (UCL), during which he participated in UCL’s Public International Law Pro Bono Project, conducting legal research aimed at promoting adherence to the rule of law by non-state actors. Gal continues to participate in the project by supervising and coordinating

research undertaken by the students, following the conclusion of his studies.

EXPERIENCE HIGHLIGHTS

  • Accompanying projects for the establishment of the Red and Green lines of the light rail in the Tel Aviv, Herzliya, Holon, Ramat Gan, and Petah Tikva areas.
  • Assisting in energy sector transactions for Doral and Solel Boneh for the establishment of PV facilities.
  • Consulting for the inter-ministerial committee of the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Environmental Protection for the establishment of a waste treatment system.
  • Assisting in transactions in the field of venture capital, mergers, and acquisitions.
  • Interned in the International Department at the Ministry of Justice.
